If you receive the Child Support Grant (CSG) for your baby, then you can only collect your grant from Wednesday 6 May. If you also get a pension or disability grant, you can collect your grant – including the Child Support Grant – from Monday 4 May. If you have a SASSA card or receive your grant into your bank account, then you can draw your money any time you need it after the payment date.
The amount of the CSG has been increased for the time COVID. In May, you will get an extra R300 for each child on the grant. This means you will get R740 for each child.
